2010 William Nicholas Liberi '05 Prize for TLGBQ Activism and Scholarship

Hi all, it's that time of year again! Honors Convocation is approaching, and we're soliciting nominees for the The William Nicholas Liberi ’05 Prize for TLGBQ Activism
and Scholarship. This prize was established in 2007 by friends and former classmates of Will Liberi, Wells College Class of 2005, and is awarded each year in his memory.

Here is the award description:

The William Nicholas Liberi ’05 Prize for TLGBQ Activism and Scholarship is to be awarded annually to a current student in good academic standing who has demonstrated a commitment to transgender and queer issues, especially through hir services as an ally to the Transgender, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer and Allies (TLGBQA) community via activism, visibility, literary, or artistic endeavors.

Previous winners of the award are Siobhan Gaynor-Kee, Greg Murdock, and Asa Bartholomew

If you know of someone who you wish to nominate for the prize, please email Vic Munoz (vmunoz[at]wells.edu) with that person's name, a description of how you believe the student has demonstrated hir commitment to TLGBQ issues, and why ze should be considered for this award.

Nominations must be submitted by April 23rd.
